Denver is located on the west side of Lake Norman. It’s growth the last several years is the attraction of the easy commute to Charlotte and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Located 20 miles from Uptown Charlotte, Denver offers a small town feel with just the right amenities to live day to day. At the intersection of Hwy 73 and Hwy 16, there’s plenty of shopping, restaurants and groceries. Commute further north up Hwy 16 and you’ll find Stacy’s Family Restaurant, a local family restaurant since 1971. If you are looking for a slower pace of life, but the convenience of getting to the action, Denver may be the town for you. It’s convenient to the National White Water Center and I485 with little traffic, which makes commuting to any part of Charlotte much easier than other towns around Lake Norman. Denver is home to Westport, a winding road lake community that consists of old lake homes. Off the lake is Trilogy of Lake Norman, an active adult community. For the golfer there’s Verdict Ridge Golf course. Located in Lincoln County, Denver offers desirable public, charter and private schools.
